Location

We are in the market town of Penrith, one of the main towns in Cumbria. Penrith is easily accessible by both road and rail. The town is at the crossroads of the M6 (J40), the A66 and the A6. Manchester is 110 miles, London 275 miles and Glasgow and Edinburgh 120 miles. An ideal stopover for travellers to and from Scotland.

Just five minutes drive from the motorway and five minutes walk from the railway station, which is on the main west coast Glasgow to London Euston route.

To find us by road, follow the signs for the A592 from M6 Junction 40. Pass the Railway Station (0.5 miles), take the 1st exit at the mini roundabout, the 2nd exit at the Morrisons roundabout, then follow the road down the hill. At the traffic lights you enter the one way system. Follow the right lane around the loop, then immediately take the left lane and the first junction on the left (by the Town Hall) into Portland Place. We are 30 yards along on the left.

Penrith is ideally situated for visiting the northern Lake District. To the east lies the Eden Valley, stretching to the northern Pennines. The Eden Valley still remains relatively unspoilt with wonderful scenery, quaint villages and a number of tourist attractions. It also boasts the A686 Hartside Pass route which was voted one of the top ten picturesque routes in the world in 2001 with spectacular views of the Eden Valley and Lake District.
